Green Business Training Program Held at the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock Products in Cooperation with TLO
A Green Business training program was held on Thursday, 2 July 2026 at the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock Products in cooperation with TLO, with the participation of business owners, domestic producers, and Chamber officials.
The program was organized to enhance the capacity of entrepreneurs and promote a culture of sustainable business practices. The training covered a wide range of topics, including production process optimization, environmental pollution reduction, efficient and responsible use of resources, sustainable resource management, branding, customer trust and loyalty, waste reduction, management systems, environmentally friendly business models, climate change, the promotion of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and key employment generation opportunities.
During the event, Dr. Wasim Safi, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber, Zahid Rahman Saleem, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mujtaba Sabbar, Communications and Public Awareness Officer, and Mahboobullah Safi, Coordinator of the Strengthening Access to Social and Economic Opportunities Project at TLO, expressed their appreciation to the organizers and participants of the training. They emphasized the importance of conducting such educational programs to enhance the knowledge and capacity of producers and economic actors across Afghanistan.
The leadership of the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock Products believes that specialized training programs on green business can play a significant role in promoting sustainable production, improving the competitiveness of domestic products, protecting the environment, and strengthening the position of Afghan producers in both domestic and international markets.
At the conclusion of the program, both the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock Products and TLO reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their cooperation in organizing similar training initiatives and supporting the development of green businesses throughout the country.
